VP ("we," "us," or "our") operates the VP mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Video Player service.
1. Media and File Access
VP is a local media player. To function correctly, the app requires access to your device’s External Storage (Photos, Media, and Files).
Local Processing: VP processes your video files locally on your device. We do not upload, stream to our servers, or share your personal video content with any third party.
Metadata: The app may read file metadata (titles, duration, resolution) solely to organize your library within the app interface.
2. Third-Party Data Collection
To keep VP free of charge, we use third-party integrations that may collect information used to identify you.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
AdMob may collect and use:
Advertising IDs: To serve relevant ads and measure performance.
Device Info: Operating system, device model, and IP address.
Location: Approximate geographic location for localized advertising.
Performance (Google Play Services)
We use these services to monitor app stability and ensure the player doesn't crash during playback. They collect technical "Log Data" such as crash reports and system configuration.
3. International Compliance (GDPR & CCPA)
We respect your global privacy rights:
EU/EEA Users (GDPR): Data processing is based on your explicit consent for ads and our legitimate interest in app maintenance. You have the right to access, rectify, or erase any data handled by our third-party partners.
California Users (CCPA/CPRA): We do not "sell" your personal information. You may opt-out of personalized advertising through your Android "Privacy" settings.
4. Cookies and Web-Beacons
While the VP app does not use cookies directly, the ads served via AdMob may use cookies or "web beacons" to track user interests. You can reset your Advertising ID in your device settings to clear this tracking data.
5. Children’s Privacy
VP is a general-audience video player. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent and aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary action.
6. Data Retention and Security
Retention: We do not store your personal data on our own servers. Any data collected by third-party services is retained according to their respective policies.
Security: We implement standard security protocols to protect the data our app accesses. However, please remember that no mobile app is 100% immune to security risks.
